I don’t feel very well

I don’t like being ill but today I’m very ill. Not just today either. I’ve been ill since the weekend and Jade Rachel took me to the doctors today. I’m so ill I even had a little slip of paper from the doctor that Jade Rachel has to take to school that says “Regan won’t be in school because she’s ill” I’ve never had one of those before. I’ve never even had more than one day off school at a time because I’ve been ill.

I’ve got (and had to use a dictionary to spell) laryngitis, tonsillitis, a viral infection and gastroenteritis.

I didn’t know what a lot of those was so I looked them up in a dictionary.
Laryngitis: inflammation of the larynx, often with accompanying sore throat, hoarseness or loss of voice, and dry cough. I had to look up larynx but I didn’t understand what the dictionary said. Jade Rachel says its my voice box.
Tonsilitis: inflammation of the tonsils
Gastroenteritis:inflammation of the stomach and intestines.

I think this pretty much means my entire insides are swollen and I feel really ill because of it. I have a sore throat and headache and it hurts to swallow and I can’t talk and my tummy hurts and I keep having to go to the toilet and I want to be sick and I’m hungry and I’m thirsty.

And if all that wasn’t enough, I also have my first period today which is making my tummy hurt and my sides hurt and my back hurt. I don’t think my body likes me very much today. I know I don’t like it very much.

I want to go to sleep but I keep waking myself up because I’m too hot and I’m too cold and I’m coughing and I have to go to the toilet.

I feel like a crybaby but I don’t normally get ill.
